RTK for tractor auto-steer
Centimetre-repeatable lines for seeding, spraying, cultivation and harvest – via the RTK.ba base-station network, no base of your own required. Works with auto-steer systems that support RTK and NTRIP.
Lower costs, more precision
Repeatable lines
The same AB lines season after season – seeding, spraying, cultivation and harvest on the same track.
Less overlap
Less double treatment and fewer missed strips on headlands and in rows.
Input and fuel savings
More precise passes mean less seed, fertiliser, crop protection and diesel per hectare.
Work at night and in dust
Auto-steer holds the line even when marker tracks are invisible – longer shifts at peak season.
Less soil compaction
Controlled traffic farming (CTF): machines drive the same lanes, the rest of the field stays untouched.
Foundation for VRA and section control
Accurate position is a prerequisite for variable-rate application and automatic section control.
From seeding to harvest
Seeding and planting
Straight, parallel rows, exact spacing and more even emergence.
Spraying and fertilising
Sprayers and spreaders follow tracks without overlap; with section control, no double dosing on headlands.
Inter-row cultivation
The cultivator follows rows seeded on the same AB lines – less crop damage.
Harvest and haulage
Full header width without overlap, tidy passes and less time in the field.
Ready for modern tractors
The requirements are the same for every brand: RTK activation on the receiver, internet (a modem) and NTRIP support. Menu names vary by software version.
McCormick · Landini
Guidance (PSM) typically on Topcon hardware – RTK via an NTRIP modem.
John Deere
StarFire with RTK activation; third-party NTRIP depends on model and software.
Fendt · Massey Ferguson · Valtra
AGCO guidance with an RTK NTRIP correction source and modem.
Case IH · New Holland
AFS / PLM systems with RTK activation/licence and NTRIP via modem.
Claas · Deutz-Fahr
GPS PILOT and Agrosky systems with the right licence and modem.
Retrofit · AgOpenGPS
Trimble, Topcon, Ag Leader, Raven, CHC and open-source AgOpenGPS (AgIO NTRIP).

Farmers’ FAQ
- Do I need my own base station?
- No. You connect to the RTK.ba network over the internet; the AUTO mountpoint picks the nearest healthy base.
- How accurate is it for auto-steer?
- With RTK FIX typically 1–2 cm horizontally, under open sky and within ~30 km of a base – repeatable year after year.
- What if the mobile signal drops?
- Without internet there are no corrections; many systems bridge short gaps. Check your operator’s coverage on your fields.
- Can I keep my existing AB lines?
- Lines recorded with another correction source may be offset; the safest option is to re-record them with RTK.ba.
